V-magazines plus size feature

Plus-size models buck thin trend in V magazine

This February's V magazine is named the "SIZE issue" featuring woman of all sizes and surprisingly even includes a photoshoot shot by Karl Largerfield for Chanel

Glamour magazine fired the first shot last year when it featured a photo of plus-size model Lizzie Miller flashing a broad smile while letting her belly show. Now V magazine has upped the ante with the release of its “Size” issue this week — featuring models whose dress sizes hit double digits sporting skimpy bathing suits, hip-hugging jeans and, in some cases, nothing at all.

“I loved the opportunity to show that you can be beautiful and sexy outside the narrow interpretations that normally define us,” said photographer Solve Sundsbo, who snapped the models for V.

Mollies Charity Fundraiser

Mollies Hotel is hosting a night of fashion and fun, with proceeds going to World Vision, so buy your tickets now for this event, held on Saturday 21st of November.

Some of the hottest names in fashion, style and design employ music, lighting, couture, coiffure and cocktails to conjure up worlds we might like to live in, but never had the chance.

Mollies will surrender to six incarnations: opera, jazz, glunge, 1930s, gentlemen’s club, and disco bling. Into these forms will be injected the arts of Sera Lilly, Stitch Ministry, Kingan Jones, Adrian Hailwood, Trove Design, Sharondelier, TCD and Republic. MODS Hair of Ponsonby, Samala Robinson Academy and Dan Ahwa will be styling and providing makeup artistry. Live music will serenade the sensual, while top DJs in one area will contrast with old world vinyl ambience, cigars and sports in another. Mollies staff, suitably attired, will waft through the worlds with morsels and drinks all evening
