Spring Summer Collection
2009/2010
The Carpenters Daughter is showing an eclectic range of styles in a bold colour palette for
this Spring & Summer. Asymmetrical cuts which flatter the form respond to an outgoing
market of curvy women who love TCD’s layering aesthetic.
Transparency is a key feature in many pieces with beautiful movement in layered fabrics of
Tuille, cotton and silks for hot summer days…and nights.
Historical references are evident in the decadent design features, with lacing, paneling,
pleating and eyelets reminiscent of Marie Antoinette. An appropriate celebration with a
collection named “let them eat cake” to grace the runway at Air New Zealand Fashion
Week on 23rd September.
